Stress
Stress is a response to strain. We need a certain amount of stress to enable us to perform well. However, sometimes too much stress will wear us down.
What are the differences?
Stress
- is normal
- is not usually harmful
- can be positive and performance enhancing
but
- excessive stress is dysfunctional
- prolonged stress can be harmful and can accelerate aging
